Epidote is a mix of peridot and garnet. Most seen comes from
Norway. China is a new but very small source of this material
and very rare from this country. Epidote is prized by collectors
due to its unique patterns of garnet and peridot. Mostly
offered as cabochons and almost never seen in a carving
primarily due to its limited availability and the expense of the
rough. Hand carved in our lapidary matte finish beautifully
detailed and free of any major flaws.
